The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is gearing up for a monumental recruitment event, poised to release advertisements for over 1700 posts through the 70th Joint Civil Services Competitive Examination. This initiative marks the largest civil service recruitment in the history of BPSC, significantly surpassing previous efforts where the highest tally was around 800 vacancies.

With numerous departments set to benefit from this recruitment, key positions include:
– Rural Development Officer (RDO): 393 vacancies
– Revenue Officer: 287 vacancies
– Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM): 200 vacancies
– Assistant District Transport Officer (DTO): 168 vacancies
– Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP): 136 vacancies
Application Process and Expectations
Potential candidates can expect the application process to commence between September 17-18, allowing at least 21 days for submissions. According to the BPSC calendar, the preliminary exam is scheduled for November 17, marking a pivotal moment for thousands of aspirants. With huge expectations surrounding this drive, it is anticipated that over 1 million applications may be submitted, especially from those who have previously eyed the UPSC examinations but will redirect their focus to the state-level exam.In addition to these civil service opportunities, Bihar is experiencing significant hiring activity in the education sector, with nearly 90,000 vacancies, paving the way for a broad spectrum of employment opportunities in the state.
